Description
PRIVILEGE 37 – 2000 – Owner Version – Based in Guadeloupe
This Privilège 37 catamaran, built in 2000, is an owner version, meaning it was designed from the outset to offer greater comfort, storage, and ergonomic living space onboard, far superior to the rental versions. It has never been rented and has been carefully maintained by a passionate owner committed to keeping the boat in excellent overall condition, both technically and aesthetically.
The Privilège 37 is a well-known model among multihull enthusiasts for its robust construction, reliability in offshore navigation, and onboard comfort. Built with foam sandwich with polyester resin, this catamaran combines lightness and strength. Thanks to its wide hulls and width of 6.60 meters, it offers excellent stability even in rough seas and allows easy movement throughout the boat.
This particular model features a spacious and very bright central cabin, a rare asset for this size of catamaran. It is configured to maximize living comfort onboard with an integrated television, making it a privileged space to relax after sailing or during extended anchorages. It invites year-round living or embarking on extended cruises in the Caribbean or beyond.
Regarding equipment, this Privilège 37 is autonomous and well thought out for travel. It is equipped with an original desalinator capable of producing 60 liters of water per hour, providing almost total freshwater autonomy. The onboard heating provides comfort during navigation in cooler seasons or in temperate zones. A water filtration system, with a multi-filter tap and an independent filtered tap, ensures optimal water quality onboard.
The kitchen is fully equipped: oven with grill, three-burner gas stove, refrigerator, and drawer freezer, allowing liveaboard comfort without logistical constraints, even while sailing. This comfort is enhanced by a well-sized electrical system, with four Victron AGM batteries of 130 Ah each, ensuring a good power reserve for all onboard systems.
Regarding the engine, the boat is equipped with two Volvo Diesel engines of 28 HP each, reliable and regularly maintained. The rigging was overhauled in 2022, and the sails are in decent condition for safe sailing. The mainsail could benefit from a revision, while the genoa was checked in 2024.
For anchoring maneuvers, the boat has a windlass and a 45 kg plow anchor with 80 meters of stainless steel chain, ensuring secure anchoring even in difficult seabeds.
The Privilège 37 is also well equipped for navigation and safety. It features a full Raymarine electronics package with GPS, autopilot, AIS, VHF, and six instrument repeaters located in the cockpit and chart table. This setup ensures comfortable, precise, and safe navigation, whether with reduced crew or during coastal and offshore sailing.
The dinghy has not been overlooked: a recent semi-rigid dinghy (2023) with a double hull aluminum bottom and a 9.9 HP outboard motor in good condition completes the boat. Ideal for cruising, landings, or even fishing in anchorages.
Finally, the boat is registered in Guadeloupe, under French flag, with taxes and octroi de mer paid, a significant advantage for a quick acquisition without complex customs formalities. It is available locally, ready to sail immediately. Its overall condition, equipment, and configuration make it an ideal opportunity for a couple or small family wishing to live aboard or cruise in the Caribbean or elsewhere.
