KIRK DES CHANTIERS AMEL is a sturdy and very intelligently designed sailboat. It has proven itself in Offshore sailing under the most challenging conditions, on all the Seas of the Globe.
Renowned for its construction quality, durability, and seafaring qualities, “BARRICA III” has been refitted, very well maintained, and equipped to embark on a new Tour.

Maintenance carried out in 03/2024 by a professional (belt replacement, oil filter, diesel filter, pump wheel, oil change, replacement of 1 silent block..).
NEIMAN starter switch replaced in 03/2024, Alternator replaced in 11/2023
Fuel capacity 100L-
Starting battery 100Ah replaced in 09/2022.
Straight shaft version with tiller steering.
NB: hydrolube bearing to be replaced.

Inside from front to back:
1 forward cabin (2 berths), one bathroom, a saloon (3 berths), one aft cabin (2 berths – total 7 interior berths).
All bedding has been changed (saloon, forward/aft cabin), comfortable 12cm foam with covers (2022).
TOPLAC interior paint (09/2022) – Lights in each berth, chart table, galley, saloon.
Multiple storage under each seat, above beds & cupboards, anti-rolling devices for each bed.
SALOON
Fold-down table with removable support – Large chart table with 2 USB ports (2022), wall storage, curtains, non-slip placemats.
GALLEY:
ENO 2-burner gas stove + gas bottle connection kit (2022), cooking utensils, cold unit changed by professional 2022, 2 freshwater taps (foot pump/electric pump).
BATHROOM:
Marine toilet, faucets, shower, storage, wardrobe, sink.
Hull fittings and toilet valves replaced in 2021
SAILS & RIGGING:
Full battens main sail with 3 reefs (2021) – Genoa on furling (2021) - Symmetrical spinnaker 72m2 –
Standing rigging replaced in 2021 – New PROFURL Genoa furling (2024)
LAZY BAG (2022) – Removable forestay in good condition with foresails and sheets for FOC 1 / FOC 2 – 2 poles.
3 winches at the foot of the mast + 2 stoppers for MAIN & GENOA – 2 two-speed ST winches in the cockpit for foresail sheets – 2 single-speed winches for SPI sheets;
Winches serviced before each Transatlantic crossing and all springs were replaced in 09/2022
Most ropes have been replaced between 2022 /2024.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
2 XUNKEL 190w panels each on aft arch connected to MPPT 30A VICTRON ENERGY (2023) + 2 solar panels 115w each connected to MPPT 20A Victron
For better charging, the 2 MPPTs work in synergy via Bluetooth.

2 AGM auxiliary batteries 150 AH connected in parallel (2021), 12/220V – 600w inverter, USB wall sockets, AIS transponder.
