Discover this magnificent Beneteau 49, built with care in Marion, South Carolina, USA. Its history is rich in maritime adventures: its first owner sailed from Charleston to the US Virgin Islands, taking advantage of seasons to keep her in Varadero between April and November. In 2021, the second owner took the helm, making numerous improvements and crossing the Atlantic with ARC. Summer 2021 and 2022, this sailboat explored the enchanting waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Today, she is moored at Port Balis, just 30 minutes from the vibrant heart of Barcelona, Spain.
### State-of-the-art electronics
Equipped for modern navigation, this Beneteau 49 features a Raymarine Smart Pilot ST6002 autopilot, a recent Raymarine 700 class B AIS (2021), and a main display Axiom 12 mounted on the wheel. A second Raymarine E80 screen is located on the chart table, complemented by a Raymarine GPS radar. Communication is ensured via a Skymate satellite phone, a fixed ICOM IC-M422 VHF, and a portable ICOM IC-M25 VHF (2021). Raymarine ST60 instruments provide precise data on speed, wind direction, and navigation, while a SONY audio system with speakers in the saloon and cockpit promises enjoyable moments onboard. The power source is robust, with four AGM batteries of 800 amps installed in 2021.
### Power and electrical autonomy
The yacht has an external power inlet and a Fischer Panda Mini 8 kW diesel generator (5600 hours of operation). A Xantrex Prowatt 3000 inverter, two Xantrex Tc40 battery chargers (80 amps), and two Axitec solar panels ensure energy independence. A Victor Energy NT 709 auto-transformer (2021) facilitates easy switching between 220V and 110V.
### Deck equipment and safety
Safety is a priority, with a Viking life raft for 6 people, RLS, pyrotechnics, a life ring, 4 automatic life jackets with spare bottles, smoke and CO2 detectors, and 3 fire extinguishers. ### Interior comfort and equipment
Inside, the Cruisair AC ensures heating, cooling, and dehumidification. Comfort is enhanced by two electric toilets, a Lewmar bow thruster with controls renewed in 2021, and several automatic and manual bilge pumps. Wastewater tanks of 2 x 100 liters are equipped with a modernized pressurized water system since 2022. The galley includes a 42-liter water heater, a saltwater pump, a 130-liter Vitifrigo refrigerator with freezer, a 100-liter Vitifrigo freezer, and a 3-burner gas stove with oven. Stainless steel sinks and custom furniture complete this convivial space.
### Sails and performance
All sails were renewed in 2021, including a full battens DOYLE Sails mainsail, a DOYLE Sails roller furling genoa, a DOYLE Sails Gennaker with sock, a Rolly Tasker gennaker, a Profurl genoa roller furling, and a lazy bag.

The boat is under a foreign flag with unpaid taxes. Maintenance is up to date, with a self-polishing antifouling applied in April 2022.
