This Bénéteau Oceanis 43 used for sale has been much more than a simple sailboat for us — it has been our floating home for almost 2 years. A model recognized for its comfort
This is a Beneteau Oceanis 43, a model known for its comfort onboard, its excellent sailing performance and its generous volumes, both on deck and below. We equipped our Oceanis 43 to be fully autonomous in long-distance navigation and .
Equipment and autonomy
With 1000W solar panels and 600Ah lithium batteries, we were able to stay anchored for weeks without ever plugging into shore — powering refrigerators, electronics, lighting and more, effortlessly. Whether working remotely or simply enjoying life at anchor, energy independence is assured.
Engine and maintenance
The engine is in excellent condition — only 1800 hours, with rigorous maintenance performed according to the manufacturer's schedule. This year, we inspected the staysail rigging and replaced essential components to ensure security and reliability for offshore crossings. The sails and running rigging, however, are nearing the end of their life and will need to be replaced before undertaking new major voyages — this has already been factored into the asking price.
History of the manufacturer and model
The Beneteau Oceanis 43 was designed by Berret-Racoupeau and its interior by Nauta Design. It was first built in 2006 by Beneteau in France. This model marked a new era in the history of offshore cruising boats thanks to its design, comfort and performance. Production continued until 2014 and it enjoyed great success, notably for its use as a charter boat under the name Moorings 43.4. The Oceanis 43 is ideal for family or friends' cruises, offering spaciousness and exceptional comfort.
