Always very popular in the fast cruising catamarans market, this CATANA 50 from 2011 was managed for rentals from 2012 to 2016 by Dream Yacht Charter in Martinique.

A complete refit was carried out during the first six months of 2017 to repair the deficiencies from the rental and to upgrade its equipment so that it became a safe and comfortable boat for a long cruising program. This program was limited to exploring the Leeward Islands, the US Atlantic coast, and Atlantic Canada, as it was interrupted by COVID-19. A cargo repatriation during the pandemic brought it back to the Mediterranean.

A set of sails from 2017 including mainsail, solent, and gennaker allows for fairly lively navigation with perfect visibility thanks to the two helm stations on the aft console. The two keels provide excellentUpwind capabilities.

LOUARN is a four-cabin version, with two aft cabins with separate beds that can be transformed, and two forward cabins, each with a suite. The saloon is bright, finished in light wood, with an open U-shaped kitchen facing the cockpit, very comfortable and well equipped. It faces the true chart table, oriented forward, and a L-shaped salon with a foldable and telescopic table.

In terms of equipment, it meets the needs of long cruising with a generator, desalinator, solar panels, fridge and freezer, ice maker, and a comprehensive electronics suite including Iridium, etc. The two Volvo 75 HP engines offer reasonable fuel consumption of 4.5L/H each at 7 knots.
