Always very popular on the high-performance cruising catamaran market, this CATANA 50 from 2011 was managed for charters from 2012 to 2016 by Dream Yacht Charter in Martinique.

A complete refit was carried out during the first six months of 2017 to remedy the shortcomings of the rental and to upgrade its equipment, making it a safe and comfortable vessel for extended cruising. This program was limited to exploring the Caribbean arc, the Atlantic USA, and Atlantic Canada, but was interrupted by COVID-19. A cargo repatriation during the pandemic brought it back to the Mediterranean.

A set of sails from 2017 including mainsail, solent, and gennaker allows for a rather dynamic navigation with perfect visibility thanks to the two helm stations on the aft console. The two daggerboards provide very effective windward performance.

LOUARN is a 4-cabin version, with the two aft cabins having separate beds that can be converted, and two forward cabins each with an ensuite head. The saloon is bright, finished in light wood, with an open U-shaped galley facing the cockpit, very functional and well equipped. It faces the proper chart table, oriented forward, and an L-shaped lounge with a folding and telescopic table.

Regarding equipment, it meets the needs of long-distance cruising with an generator, desalinator, solar panels, refrigerator and freezer, ice maker, and comprehensive electronics including Iridium, etc. The two Volvo engines of 75 hp each offer a reasonable consumption of 4.5L/H at 7 knots.
