Always very popular on the fast cruising catamaran market, this 2011 CATANA 50 was managed for rentals from 2012 to 2016 by Dream Yacht Charter in Martinique.

A complete refit was carried out during the first six months of 2017 to repair rental shortcomings and complete its equipment so that it became a safe and comfortable boat for long-distance cruising. This program was limited to exploring the Antilles arc, the US Atlantic coast, and the Canadian Atlantic coast as it was interrupted by COVID-19. Repatriation on a cargo ship during the pandemic brought it back to the Mediterranean.

A 2017 sail set including mainsail, solent, and gennaker allows rather dynamic sailing with perfect visibility thanks to the 2 steering stations on the rear console. The 2 centerboards offer very good upwind performance.

LOUARN is a 4 double cabin version, the 2 aft cabins with separate beds that can be converted, and 2 forward cabins, each with a bathroom. The saloon is bright, finished in light wood, with a U-shaped galley open to the highly appreciated and well-equipped cockpit. It faces the proper chart table, oriented forward, and an L-shaped seating area with a foldable and telescopic table.

In terms of equipment, it meets the needs of long-distance cruising with generator, watermaker, solar panels, fridge and freezer, ice maker, and full electronics including Iridium, etc. The 2 Volvo 75 hp engines allow reasonable consumption of 4.5L/H each at 7 knots.
