The sailing yacht TELSTAR VI is an auxiliary ketch with a classic design, featuring the character and style of the 1960s, offering luxurious comfort, amenities, and the advantages of a modern yacht. Its robustness and long range provide endless pleasure for local and global cruising.
TELSTAR VI is a 29 m ketch designed in 1967 by the renowned naval architect Alan Buchanan and built in Italy by the Cantiere Craglietto shipyard, number 62. Its keel was laid in 1967 and completed in 1968.
“TELSTAR VI is the chronology of the ownership, custody, or location of a historical object. The term was originally mainly used in relation to works of art, used in similar senses across a wide range of fields including archaeology and manuscripts.”
TELSTAR VI is constructed with a teak and oak hull. It underwent a substantial refit in Malta from 2012 to 2019, where it was completely stripped, partially replated, with beams and the floor replaced by laminated beams, refastened and coated with epoxy. This extensive refit allows for MCA certification.
