CN Costantini Marconi
The legendary exploration boat Mythical Alain Bombard La Coryphène with its port of registry in Hyeres
La Coryphène is a Ketch built in 1958 by the naval yard Costantini in La Trinite sur Mer based on plans by Architect Louis Costantini.
Ordered for scientific research campaigns by biologist Alain Bombard, it was, after eight years of research in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, transformed in 1967 into a luxurious pleasure yacht.
It has continuously navigated in the Atlantic (Portugal and Spain), in the Western Mediterranean (Spain-Morocco-Balearics-France-Italy) throughout its sixty-eight years of existence.
It has undergone numerous maintenance and modernization works and several significant refits.
It was recognized at the 1998 Lisbon World Expo in the Belgium Pavilion among ships deemed worthy of representing the country.
It is currently moored in its home port of Hyeres, France, on the list of "remarkable boats" and enjoys a privileged status as a result.
La Coryphène is registered with the French Association of Traditional Yachts (AFYT), properly measured, and performs very well in regattas of classic and traditional boats.
