Originally built in 1988 under the name Buyuk Amiral, this boat was designed for expeditions to the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. Its durability against high seas and winds up to 50 knots has been repeatedly proven, with five crossings confirming its reliability. Between 2018 and 2023, a complete refit was undertaken to enhance its autonomy and long-distance cruising capability.

Among many improvements made:

- The hull was redone using Tali from Guinea-Bissau, a rare, rot-proof, extremely hard wood naturally fire-resistant due to its essential oils.
- The keel, lengthened and reinforced with a stainless steel structure, now weighs 9.5 tonnes, ensuring optimal stability.
- A thick, wide Tali rubbing strake crowns the hull for added protection.
- The wheelhouse and roof were rebuilt with Guatambu, a noble South American wood, and fitted with security glass.
- The deck, side decks, and cockpit are clad in Seacork cork, providing comfort and insulation.
- All aluminum sliding portholes with thick glazing, as well as deck hatches, are new.
- All custom-made stainless steel fittings guarantee durable strength and elegance.
- The two steel masts have been refurbished and solidly fixed for perfect sea handling.
- The engine and generator have been rebuilt, as well as water and diesel tanks and hydraulic systems.
- The electrical equipment has been fully renewed: eight high-performance solar panels, batteries, chargers, state-of-the-art navigation electronics, radar, Wifi and TNT antennas, as well as the GMDSS system.
- Comfort has not been overlooked: desalination unit, refrigerators, freezer, multifunction oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, air compressor, and three electric toilets; everything is new and designed to ease life at sea.
