Recognized as the Motor Yacht of the Year by Motor Boat & Yachting, the Delta Powerboats 88 Carbon stands as the undisputed flagship of the Delta Carbon range and one of the most technically advanced production motor yachts in the world. Built entirely in vacuum-infused carbon fiber composite by Luksusjaht AS in Estonia, this 25.72-meter vessel represents the culmination of more than two decades of Scandinavian engineering philosophy applied to the highest yacht construction standards for life at sea. Designed by Lars Modin and first delivered in 2010, the 88 Carbon paved the way for large-scale production of carbon fiber motor yachts and continues to set the benchmark for energy efficiency, performance, and refined onboard comfort in the 80-foot category.

The hull and superstructure are built exclusively from carbon fiber composite, delivering a dry weight of 39,000 kg for an overall length of 25.72 meters and a beam of 6.22 meters — proportions that provide exceptional sea-keeping while enabling a top speed of 39 knots thanks to two Volvo Penta IPS 1350 inboard engines producing a total of 2,000 hp. A three-engine option increases total power to 3,000 hp for owners requiring additional performance. IPS integration reduces fuel consumption by up to 40% compared to conventional shaft-drive configurations, and joystick maneuvering from four stations makes handling in tight marina environments effortless. The Seakeeper M16000 gyroscopic stabilizer provides a comfortable platform at anchor and underway, and the Opacmare carbon transformable platform with swim-through gangway offers seamless access to the water.

On deck, the 88 Carbon offers three distinct outdoor living areas: a large forward deck with a U-shaped sofa, a drop-down table, and a spacious sunpad beneath a retractable awning; a generous aft dining area with service kitchen, ice maker, and an IPS joystick station; and a full-width flybridge with a U-shaped sofa, a wet bar with barbecue, and open seating for five people. The Williams 385 tender is stored in a dedicated aft garage and deployed via a hydraulic lift.

Below, the handcrafted Scandinavian interior can accommodate eight guests in four cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The full-beam owner’s suite is a private sanctuary with a king-size bed, a three-seat lounge, a study, Philippe Starck table lamps, a concealed safe, and a bathroom with a variable-opacity glass wall and Vola fixtures by Arne Jacobsen. A forward VIP suite mirrors the owner’s standard with a king-size bed and Apple TV, while two additional guest cabins with twin beds complete the accommodation. The crew quarters for two are separated from the guest areas. The main salon flows from the cockpit’s glass deck through a generous lounge with genuine leather sofas and a concealed 55-inch TV lift, passing through a dining area for eight, and on to a fully equipped kitchen with Corian worktops, a full-size fridge-freezer, a five-zone cooktop, a dishwasher, and complete tableware for twelve. A Control4 audio system manages sound across ten Hi-Fi zones onboard.

The technical systems are built to the highest specification: Garmin/Volvo Penta glass cockpit with three 22-inch multi-function displays at the interior helm station and three 16-inch screens on the flybridge, Mastervolt 24V/220V installation, lithium battery bank, ASEA 36 kVA shore power converter, two Fischer Panda 20 kW generators for full redundancy, Webasto tropical air conditioning (160,000 BTU), desalination unit, and a onboard laundry room. CE Class B certified with optional MCA/RINA commercial classification, the 88 Carbon is also suitable for private ownership or operation with a professional crew.
