The Dufour 48 is equipped with a short keel giving a draft of 1.60 meters, allowing it to sail both in deep waters and shallow coastal areas. The GRP Poly hull ensures great strength while offering excellent handling at sea. The sailboat is powered by a Volvo Penta MD22P 60 HP engine, recently overhauled in 2023, with only 2000 hours of navigation, ensuring reliable and optimal mechanical performance.

A Furuno GP32 GPS is connected to an ASUS mini-computer with a 10.1-inch screen for detailed charting of the Channel and the Atlantic, as well as a NAVICOM RT750 VHF with ASN-DSC to ensure communication in all circumstances.
The Dufour 48 is also fitted with 5 service and engine batteries, installed in September 2023, guaranteeing sufficient electrical autonomy for your long crossings. The electric windlass system (1200W) was refurbished in 2023, allowing simplified management of the anchor and mooring maneuvers.

The performance of the Dufour 48 is further enhanced by a standing rigging completely replaced in December 2023, as well as a Full Batten mainsail made of Mylar/Taffeta composite fabric with tri-radial cut, mounted on ball-bearing cars, for maximum maneuverability and efficiency while sailing. The furling genoa, also made of composite fabric, is in excellent condition with a new 2024 UV strip. A symmetrical spinnaker with a sock complements the sail inventory, offering versatility for all wind conditions.
