The new Fareast 23R is the major contribution to the Fareast R-Line (Racing) range.
The Fareast 23R was designed to meet the needs of an attractive and fast club racing boat. Taking the pedigree and lines of its big brother, the Fareast 28R, the Fareast 23R is slightly more compact, making it easier to tow and launch from a ramp.
Equipped with the typical Fareast reverse bow and a wide transom, the Fareast 23R sails easily upwind and can blaze downwind in good breeze. Speeds around 10 km/h are no exception.
A very efficient deck layout has been emphasized to make the boat accessible to all sailors. It is certainly intended for racing, but it is by no means intimidating.
Built with the superior quality we are now accustomed to at Fareast Boats, this boat offers a generous ballast ratio of 44%. Combined with high form stability and low wetted surface, the Fareast 23R is a stable yet fast sailing boat.
The removal of the backstay allows for a very modern rig with a square top mainsail and a large foretriangle, without requiring backstays that are difficult to handle when gybing.
Our designers at Simonis Voogd Design, with over 20 years of experience in sports boats, know that when conditions get tough, it's better not to be hindered by unnecessary rig adjustments. Relaxing and enjoying the sailing, that is what characterizes the Fareast 23R!
