Gib Sea 442

We are selling our Ponyo, a Gib Sea 442 with a shallow draft (1.65m). Self-sufficient and ready for long voyages (prepared for an Atlantic crossing). €80,000 worth of work was completed in 2025 (receipts available) to modernize it (Axiom Pro, new VHF, Iridium Go, AIS, 400W solar panel...) and to ensure safety (hull, rigging, engine, bow thruster, sails, waterproofing...).

With its shallow draft, Ponyo is ideal for the Breton coasts as well as Caribbean lagoons. It features large interior volumes (headroom, cabins also 1.90m), a spacious and very bright saloon. There are 2 double aft cabins, 2 forward bunk cabins, 2 toilets, 1 bathroom, an L-shaped kitchen, and many storage compartments.

Highly valued in charter and collective use, the Gib Sea offers generous volume with numerous lockers both outside and inside. Versatile and very powerful, the GibSea 442 adapts to all types of programs and will handle rough seas smoothly. Solidly built, it is suitable for both long trips and short ones.

For self-sufficient navigation, it has a 400L freshwater tank with a filter, a 200L fuel tank, and 400W of solar panels charging lithium batteries.

Ponyo is easy to sail solo: genoa and mainsail roller furling operated with 2 electric winches. Ideal for family outings, with safety in mind.

An alloy rail has been installed around the entire boat for added safety.

The bow thruster was refurbished in 2025 for easy port entry.
