Powered by a Yanmar 40 HP engine totaling approximately 2000 hours, well-maintained with annual servicing, this yacht benefits from a new engine console installed in 2022 and a sail drive replaced in 2021, ensuring reliability and peace of mind while sailing.

Inside, comfort reigns: 8 spacious berths accommodate the crew, complemented by two full bathrooms with manual toilets, whose faucets were replaced in 2021, and a deck shower for added convenience onboard.

The racing rig ROD, installed in 2014, optimizes performance with Spectra halyards. The rigging equipment includes a Harken roller furler, a double groove convertiblestay, and a complete Harken fittings, including a well-organized cockpit and a German-style all-pleated mainsail sheet. The cruising mainsail is equipped with three reef points, while the roller furling genoa is in excellent condition and fitted with lazy jacks for easier maneuvers.

For racing enthusiasts, a complete set of Kevlar/Mylar sails is included: mainsail, genoa, and staysail, all ready to deliver optimal performance. Three spinnakers, lightweight and heavy-duty, as well as a third with sock ideal for sailing with a reduced crew, complete the arsenal, all in perfect condition with Spectra braces and sheets. The spinnaker pole and fittings are installed, accompanied by a hydraulic spinnaker tensioner for precise trimming.

On the electronic side, the boat is equipped with a full B&G system with external repeaters, autopilot, Raymarine GPS/chartplotter at the chart table, VHF, as well as a radio/CD with four speakers placed inside and outside for a pleasant onboard ambiance.

Comfort onboard is enhanced with a heater (to be repaired), a recent engine battery (2020), two service batteries (2016), an electric bilge pump, a new electric windlass with control (2021), an anchor with 45 m of chain, a 220V system with automatic charger installed in 2022, a Bimini Top, and a full cover to protect from the sun. The galley is equipped with a refrigerated icebox (2018) and a two-burner gas stove with oven, with hoses renewed in 2022.

Seacocks were replaced in 2013, ensuring watertightness and safety. The recent dinghy (2022) comes with its Tohatsu outboard engine, serviced the same year. The teak deck, in excellent condition, invites relaxation, complemented by a swim ladder and an outdoor shower to fully enjoy stopovers.

Built for bluewater sailing, this Grand Soleil 40R has a hull repaired in 2014 and a paint job redone in 2018, with some touch-ups needed. An ideal yacht to combine racing and cruising with confidence.
