Powered by a Yanmar 40 HP engine totaling approximately 2000 hours, with regular annual maintenance, this sailboat benefits from a new engine control console installed in 2022 and a sail drive replaced in 2021, ensuring reliability and peace of mind at sea.

Inside, comfort reigns: 8 spacious berths accommodate the crew, complemented by two full bathrooms with manual WC and replaced faucets in 2021, and a deck shower for added convenience onboard.

The racing rig ROD, installed in 2014, optimizes performance with Spectra halyards. The maneuvering equipment includes a Harken furler, a double groove convertible staysail, and a complete Harken fittings, including a well-organized galley and a German-style genoa sheet. The cruising genoa is fitted with three reef points, while the roller genoa is in excellent condition and equipped with lazy jacks for easier handling.

For racing enthusiasts, a complete set of Kevlar/Mylar sails is provided: mainsail, genoa, and staysail, all ready to deliver optimal performance. Three spinnakers, lightweight and heavy, along with a sock spinnaker ideal for short-handed sailing, complete the arsenal; all in perfect condition with Spectra sheets and guys. The spinnaker pole and rigging are installed, accompanied by a hydraulic backstay for precise adjustments.

Electronics include a full B&G system with external repeaters, autopilot, Raymarine GPS/chartplotter at the chart table, VHF, and a radio/CD with four speakers inside and outside for a pleasant onboard atmosphere.

Comfort amenities include heating (to be repaired), a recent engine battery (2020), two service batteries (2016), an electric bilge pump, a new electric windlass with control (2021), an anchor with 45 m chain, a 220V system with automatic charger installed in 2022, a Bimini Top, and a full canvas to protect from the sun. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerated icebox (2018) and a two-burner gas stove with oven, with hoses replaced in 2022.

Hatch covers were replaced in 2013, ensuring watertightness and safety. The recent dinghy (2022) is offered with its Tohatsu outboard motor, serviced the same year. The teak deck, in excellent condition, invites relaxation and is complemented by a swim ladder and an outdoor shower for enjoying stops to the fullest.

Ready for offshore navigation, this Grand Soleil 40R features a hull repaired in 2014 and repainted in 2018, with minor touch-ups to be expected. An ideal sailboat for combining racing and cruising with confidence.
