Description
GUY COUACH 1601 – THE EXCELLENCE OF FRENCH YACHTING
Where timeless elegance meets exceptional refit.
In the market for classic yachts, few units can compete with the prestige of a Guy Couach 1601. Larger, more habitable, and more seafaring than the 1401, the 1601 offers true cruising comfort with remarkable volumes, exceptional stability, and build quality that has made the Guy Couach shipyards renowned.
This stunning 15.90-meter vessel, built in France, benefits from rigorous maintenance and significant investments made over the years. It is powered by two Detroit Diesel GM 6V92TA engines of 550 hp, totaling approximately 1,850 hours, a propulsion system renowned for its robustness and longevity.
Onboard, you will discover a yacht designed for long voyages with family or friends, featuring 3 cabins plus a crew cabin, up to 9 berths, 2 bathrooms, a fuel capacity of 3,000 liters, and 1,000 liters of freshwater, offering remarkable autonomy.
Why choose a Guy Couach 1601 over a 1401?
The 1601 is the natural upgrade of the 1401:
Significantly larger interior volumes.
An additional cabin and more berths.
A more spacious and convivial flybridge.
Better autonomy for long cruises.
Exceptional seaworthiness thanks to its Guy Couach hull, known for its performance in rough seas.
A highly sought-after patrimonial value among enthusiasts of prestigious French yachts.
A ready-to-navigate unit
This yacht has undergone a complete refit, including:
full engine overhauls,
turbochargers rebuilt,
heat exchangers serviced,
alternators renovated,
batteries replaced,
soundproofing and thermal insulation,
electrical panel and wiring fully renewed,
upholstery, bedding, and flooring renewed,
numerous works carried out until 2026, including hull sanding, anti-osmose treatment, and new antifouling.
The equipment is particularly comprehensive:
bow thruster,
hydraulic passerelle,
Nanni generator overhauled,
Simrad EVO2 electronics with autopilot and AIS,
fixed and portable VHF,
Lewmar windlass,
Yamaha semi-rigid tender,
Fusion audio system,
numerous comfort and safety equipment.
A rare opportunity
Today, the Guy Couach 1601 is one of the last true French yachts built with a quality standard that has become rare. This unit will appeal to both navigation enthusiasts and owners seeking an elegant, reliable yacht that is immediately operational.
If you are looking for a yacht offering more space, comfort, and prestige than a Guy Couach 1401, while maintaining the marine DNA that has built the reputation of the Couach shipyard, this 1601 is undoubtedly one of the best opportunities currently available on the market.
