Fuel consumption is 1 liter per hour on canals, which is very low for diesel. To refill, there are three jerrycans on board to be filled at the station, or more rarely at nautical service stations along the canals.  

The boat is fully equipped, renovated internally in iroko.

The solar panel allows for several days out of port without electric hookup, in "nature."
