Jeanneau Voyage 12.50

BABA AU RHUM is the Voyage 12.50 (or Sun Odyssey 42, most recent model) by Jeanneau, built in 1991 and acquired in August 2022. Well maintained and ready to sail. A couple lived on board for 3 years. Return from Corsica-Sardinia summer 2026.

Hull:
- 2023 Brass and fiberglass/modern design through hulls
- Epoxy anti-osmosis treatment in 2021 (no bubbles appeared during the last sanding in 2024 despite 4 months dry storage)
- Mirror-polished 3-blade propellers in 2024
- Hydrolube bearing and shaft seal (Volvo type) 2024 (around 200 engine hours since)
- Current antifouling Jotun SeaQuantum 60 months (used on large ships), to be renewed in 2027
- Rudder bushing RAS
- Stringers in perfect condition, no blisters or cracks

Deck and Rigging:
- New main sail from 2023 Rolly Tasker
- Genoa in good condition (UV strip and protection to be inspected in October 2026)
- Used genoa foresail to install
- Mainsail changed in 2021, including reefing lines, garboards, etc.
- Maintained/replaced/greased each season
- Wheel steering/rudder/gear/ball bearings revised/replaced December 2025
- Forestay and reinforcement plate for staysail installed (see photo)

Engine:
- Yanmar 4JH-TE from 1985, refurbished and installed by previous owner with 1350 hours currently
- Fuel consumption 1.6L/h at 1800 rpm. Simple, robust engine running perfectly
- Full seasonal maintenance done personally
- Everything preventive
- Exhaust elbow and heat exchanger cleaned/replaced
- Spare parts available: Alternator, Starter, Water pump (€2000 additional to sale price)
- Use of calcium and injector cleaner (LiquiMoly) before each oil change
- Use of Diesel bacteria additive (clean tank, no mud)
