Owner's words Loïc:
"I bought this boat in 1988, its speed and performance immediately won me over!
The boat was built in 1978 for skipper MARSAUDON, with whom I had the chance to race during the "Course au large," including the double-handed transatlantic from Lorient to Bermuda and back in 1983 aboard the trimaran Stalaven!
I purchased this Jade 48 in 1988 as an empty hull and worked on it for 2 years, notably: re-chiseling the hull, performing a complete structural reinforcement on the forward section where I doubled all the aluminum frames, then making all the woodwork and interior fittings.
I am passionate about racing and offshore sailing, and I have owned this magnificent aluminum sailing yacht for 36 years!
Today, it is a fast and comfortable boat.
Regular maintenance is part of my safety routine.
It is regularly hauled out; in April 2026, we refreshed it for spring with hull cleaning, antifouling, various inspections and repairs, anodes replaced, hull sandblasted, and four coats of zinc antifouling applied.
It is a boat ready to sail; I do everything I can myself, except for the sandblasting, which was carried out in April 2026 by a professional company.
As I age, I have made the difficult decision to part with it, and we are looking for its new owner.
It’s a stiff boat with good sail power—an upwind sailer!
It requires a bit of sportiness if you are interested in this sailing yacht!"

⚓ Owner’s quote
“Since 1988, this boat immediately captivated me with its speed and performance. Originally built for skipper Marsaudon, I had the chance to sail in offshore races with him.
Purchased as an empty hull, I fully customized and reinforced it myself: strengthened bow structure, bespoke carpentry, complete interior fittings.
After 36 years of passionate sailing, I part with it reluctantly. It’s a fast, seaworthy vessel, demanding, perfect for lovers of sporty sailing. Always maintained with rigor, it is ready to go today.”
