Transportable sailboat, Skellig 5, a weighted centerboard dinghy sloop version from the Plasmor shipyard based in Bains sur Oust (Ille et Vilaine) and still active.
The Skellig 5, inspired by the cat-boats of Chesapeake Bay, offers you a cabin with three berths (2 adults and one child) and a large central opening with double doors and a sliding panel.
The hull of the Skellig 5 features a weighted centerboard. The appendages, pivoting and retractable, allow for flat grounding. The raised cockpit coaming perfectly protects the crew.
The boat is number 1 from the shipyard. The centerboard trunk was modified by the shipyard according to the original plan and visually approved by the architect, moved forward as on the initial plan. The centerboard was lengthened, giving it even more stiffness and great ease of tacking. The lifting mechanism of the centerboard and rudder, as well as the entire electrical panel, were optimized and made more reliable.
The sailboat is easily transportable with a family car, can be launched and rigged by one person. It will be sold with its Mecanorem road trailer (1300 kg).
The boat has always been wintered dry and sheltered in its barn.
The boat is in good condition, has sailed little but in various places, from Brittany to the Lérins Islands, attracting sailors and photographers with its retro look; it is sold ready to sail.
