ADORABLE – August Plym Sloop 1905, fully refitted

Some boats stand the test of time without ever losing their grace. ADORABLE is one of them.

It was designed in 1905 by August Plym, who could be called the Swedish Herreshoff. Like Nathanael Herreshoff in America, Plym shaped the golden age of Scandinavian yachting in the early 20th century, with sails that are as swift as they are elegant. Length overall of 17 meters, this prototype is a living witness to that era. It retains all the nobility: a handcrafted wooden hull with sleek lines, a long keel, an authentic teak deck, and a straight tiller connecting the helmsman directly to the sea.

ADORABLE has been fully refitted and reinforced to face the choppy waters of the Mediterranean. It can truly be sailed, not just admired from the dock.

Its sail plan says everything about its temperament: a mainsail of 98 m², a genoa of 58 m², a staysail of 40 m², and two spinnakers, a symmetrical one of 200 m² and an asymmetrical one of 160 m². In light winds, it glides. In breeze, it proves powerful and seaworthy.

It is a boat of rare elegance, ideal for an owner who wants to bring a chapter of nautical history to life. It is suitable for classic cruising, traditional yacht races, or simply anchoring where all eyes turn to it.
