The Italian manufacturer Sessa Marine offers a very diverse range with boats from 5.75-meter open models to luxurious 21-meter yachts. It also has a wide range of sun decks called Key Largo, except for the One - the smallest of all - which is a traditional open. In recent years, Sessa has developed some of these models in stern-drive and outboard versions, such as the Key Largo 34, which we had the opportunity to take out near the port of Varazze in Italy, not far from the French border. Docked at the quay, this impressive 10-meter-long sun deck reveals elegant curves.

This boat – like all other models in the range – was designed by the renowned designer Christian Grande. The Key Largo 34 features a very successful design that is harmonious, flowing, and contemporary. The program of this impressive 10-meter-long sun deck is undeniably Mediterranean. The Key Largo 34 offers two distinct living spaces, the bow area and the cockpit. The large bow sunpad is dedicated to lounging and long sunbathing sessions. It is accessible via two wide gangways secured with a railing.

Very convivial spaces
As for the cockpit, it is mainly reserved for dining and family or friends picnics, thanks to the large L-shaped bench that allows many guests to gather around the beautiful teak table. This table can fold in half to save space or be lowered to form a second sunpad. As on most boats, the seats hide large storage lockers. The thick leaning post houses the driver and co-pilot seats and includes a standard outdoor kitchen equipped with a sink, cutting board, ample storage, and optional refrigerator and stove. While relaxation areas are well-designed, the helm station has benefited from special attention.

The comfort is excellent, instrumentation features prime placement, the steering wheel is adjustable, and throttle controls are well positioned for standing operation; however, when the driver is seated in the comfortable bucket seat at the back, the steering wheel might be a bit far. The GPS space is ideally located, enhancing visibility. Although the Key Largo 34 is a superb boat for day trips, it can also be perfectly adapted for cruising with a welcoming and warm interior, including a U-shaped forward lounge convertible into a double berth, a very nice mid-cabin, and a separate head. The interior décor, very refined and neat, features noble wood and light fabrics.

Standard Equipment Quite Rich
The long hull panels, offering stunning sea views from the forward cabin and ample natural light, are also appreciated. The mid-cabin is equipped with two single berths that can be combined with a central mattress for a double berth. The head features a sink, shower, and electric marine toilet coupled with a black water tank.
