The Italian manufacturer Sessa Marine offers a very varied range with boats from the 5.75 meter open to the luxurious 21 meter yacht. It also has a wide range of sun decks called Key Largo, except for the One – the smallest of all – which is a classic open. For several years, Sessa has offered some of these models in both inboard and outboard versions, like the Key Largo 34 we had the chance to take command of off the port of Varazze in Italy, near the French border. Moored at the dock, this imposing 10-meter long sun deck reveals beautiful curves.

This boat – like all other models in the range – was designed by the very famous designer Christian Grande. The Key Largo 34 displays a very successful line that is at once harmonious, fluid, and contemporary. The program of this imposing 10-meter long sun deck is undeniably Mediterranean. The Key Largo 34 has two well-distinct living areas, the bow area and the cockpit. The immense forward sunbathing area is dedicated to relaxation and long sunbathing sessions. It is accessible via two wide side decks secured by a railing.

Very friendly spaces
As for the cockpit, it is mainly reserved for meals and picnics with family or friends, thanks to the large L-shaped bench that allows many guests to sit around the beautiful teak table. This one can be folded in half to take up less space, or lowered to form a second sunbed. Like on most boats, the seats house large storage lockers. The thick leaning post seats the pilot and co-pilot, and it contains an outdoor kitchen equipped as standard with a sink, cutting board, plenty of storage and, optionally, a refrigerator and a stove. While the leisure spaces have been carefully considered, the helm station has received particular attention.

The comfort is excellent, instrumentation benefits from prime placements, the steering wheel is adjustable and the throttle controls fall naturally under the hands when standing; however, when the pilot is seated at the back of the comfortable bucket seat, the steering wheel will be a bit far. The GPS space is ideally positioned, which facilitates visibility. The Key Largo 34 may be a fantastic boat for day outings, but it can also perfectly suit a cruising program thanks to a welcoming and warm cabin composed of a forward U-shaped lounge convertible into a double berth, a very nice mid-cabin, and an independent head. The interior decoration, very flattering and refined, is made of fine wood and light fabrics.

A rather rich standard equipment
The long hull panels, offering an unbeatable view of the sea from the forward cabin while bringing plenty of light, are also appreciated. The mid-cabin is equipped with two single berths that can be complemented by a central mattress to form a double bed. The head compartment is equipped with a sink, a handheld shower, and electric marine toilet coupled to a black water tank.
