The Wauquiez CENTURION 47 is a model designed by Ed Dubois and built by Wauquiez. This sailboat is known for its performance, robustness, and elegance. It is suitable for offshore sailing, especially close-hauled.

Preparation and Upgrades

The sailboat has undergone a complete overhaul and major improvements between 2019 and 2024:

Recent work: replacement of the teak deck, changing the portholes, re-rigging, and a complete engine overhaul.
Modern equipment: new Fisher Panda generator (2024) and upgraded NKE electronics.

Interior Layout

The sailboat features three cabins: aowner’s aft cabin, a double fore cabin, and a crew cabin. It also includes a saloon, an equipped galley, and two bathrooms.

Equipment and Performance

The sailboat is equipped with a Lombardini 60 HP engine, a full set of sails (main sail and genoa from 2017, staysail, storm jib, and spinnaker overhauled), and modern navigation instruments (NKE autopilot, AIS, and GPS).

History

Formerly owned by artist Philippe Laville, this sailboat has navigated from the French coast to the lagoons of New Caledonia, passing through New Zealand and Tahiti.
