The Wauquiez CENTURION 47 is a model designed by Ed Dubois and built by Wauquiez. This sailing yacht is known for its performance, durability, and elegance. It is suitable for high-sea navigation, especially upwind.

Preparation and Improvements

The sailing yacht underwent a complete overhaul and major upgrades between 2019 and 2024:

Recent work: replacement of the teak deck, window replacements, overhaul of standing rigging, and complete engine overhaul.
Modern equipment: new Fisher Panda generator (2024) and upgraded NKE electronics.

Interior Layout

The yacht features three cabins: a master cabin aft, a double cabin forward, and a crew cabin. It also includes a saloon, a fully equipped galley, and two bathrooms.

Equipment and Performance

The yacht is equipped with a 60 HP Lombardini engine that has been serviced, a full set of sails (main sail and genoa from 2017, staysail, storm jib, and spinnaker overhauled), and modern navigation instruments (NKE central unit, AIS, autopilot).

History

Previously owned by artist Philippe Laville, this yacht has navigated from the French coasts to the lagoons of New Caledonia, including New Zealand and Tahiti.

The yacht is equipped for safety and self-sufficiency:
