Suzuki's new outboard engine, the DF115B, features upgrades that further improve its overall performance. The compression ratio is now 10.6/1, allowing this over 2-liter outboard engine to enhance top speed and achieve better acceleration while optimizing thermal efficiency.
Energy efficiency has also been improved compared to the well-known DF115A model. Tests have demonstrated a 5 to 6% fuel consumption improvement for the DF115B across mid to high-speed ranges.
The new cowling adopts a special air intake that optimizes water separation while reducing the intake air temperature, enabling higher power output at mid-range speeds. A resonator system further reduces engine noise at all speeds.
The new direct ignition reduces the number of parts and wiring, which enhances spark generation and improves combustion efficiency.
The main difference from its "big brother" DF140B is that it delivers power over a lower and wider RPM range.
