Our new DF200AP engine is equipped with a revolutionary "hands-free" starting system: a coded contactless key transmits an access code to the engine's starting system. When the contactless key is less than one meter away from the main unit, simply power on the system, insert the safety lanyard, and start the engine by pressing a single button. Upon returning to port, just turn off the engine and power down the system.

The DF200AP is the first 200HP (147kW) outboard engine on the market to feature an electronic control system (Suzuki Precision Control) and Suzuki's Selective Rotation system, which allows the engine to be configured for normal or counter rotation thanks to a specially designed mechanism located in the lower unit (gearcase), and an innovative electronic gear shift system.
