Suzuki's new outboard engine, the DF115B, benefits from upgrades that further enhance its overall performance. The compression ratio is now 10.6/1, allowing this over 2-liter outboard to improve its top speed and achieve better acceleration while optimizing thermal efficiency.
Fuel efficiency has also been improved compared to the well-known DF115A model among the brand's customers. Tests have shown a 5 to 6% improvement in fuel consumption for the DF115B over a medium to high speed range.
The new cowling features a special air intake that optimizes water separation while reducing intake air temperature, enabling higher power delivery at mid-range speeds. A resonator system further reduces engine noise at all speeds.
The new direct ignition reduces the number of parts and wiring, allowing better ignition spark generation and improving combustion efficiency.
The main difference from its "big brother" DF140B is that it achieves its power over a lower and broader RPM range.
