The new Suzuki outboard engine, the DF115BG, features improvements that go far beyond the integration of an electronic control! The compression ratio is now 10.6:1, allowing this slightly over 2-liter outboard engine to further improve top speed and achieve better acceleration while optimizing thermal efficiency!
Energy efficiency has also been improved compared to the well-known DF115A model familiar to the brand's customers. Tests have shown a 5 to 6% improvement in fuel consumption for the DF115BG over a range of medium to high speeds.
The new cowling features a special air intake that optimizes water separation and a resonator system further reducing engine noise at all speeds.

The lightest in its class thanks to a weight reduction of over 12%, resulting in a weight of only 225 kg.

Direct intake and variable valve timing for better efficiency and exceptional performance.
“Big block” with a displacement of 2,867 cm3. Higher compression ratio for optimized acceleration and remarkable torque.

“Lean Burn” technology saving fuel and emissions.
Improved combustion thanks to knock sensors, oxygen sensors, and water detection.

New engine cover design with semi-direct opening flaps that provide cooler air to the intake system.

Lean Burn Control technology optimizes the air-fuel mixture by anticipating fuel needs based on usage conditions, thus reducing consumption. On this engine, it achieves up to 16% fuel savings.
