Combining Lean Burn technology, semi-direct air intake, and a high-performance compression ratio of 10.2 to 1, this new outboard is both economical, powerful, and clean. Compared to its predecessor, the DF175A is 14% more fuel-efficient.
With more torque (2.7% increase), combined with the 2-stage offset drive shaft reduction, this new engine delivers more power across the entire RPM range. Even on heavier or more loaded boats, the DF175A takes performance to the next level.
The DF175A now shares the same block as the renowned DF200A. Large displacement and precise mechanics offer better acceleration at low and mid-range RPMs. This meets our customers' desires for high performance combined with fuel efficiency.
These new outboards benefit from proven technologies found in Suzuki's "Ultimate" 4-stroke engines, ensuring year-after-year reliability. A knock sensor preserves engine smoothness to improve lifespan. An oxygen sensor enhances block efficiency, and Suzuki's water detection system protects the engine from effects of poor combustion, stalling, and corrosion.
