When the contactless key is within one meter of the main unit, simply power on the system, insert the kill cord, and start the engine by pressing a single button. The DF175AP is the first 175HP (129kW) outboard engine on the market to feature an electronic control system (Suzuki Precision Control) and Suzuki's selective rotation system (Suzuki Selective Rotation), allowing configuration of the engine in either standard or counter-rotation. This is achieved through a specially designed mechanism located in the lower unit (the gearcase) and an innovative electronic gear change system.
