R Marine offers you:
The new Suzuki outboard engine, the DF140B, features enhancements that further improve its overall performance. The compression ratio has indeed increased to 10.6/1, allowing this outboard engine of over 2 liters to further improve top speed and achieve better acceleration while optimizing thermal efficiency.
Energy efficiency has also been improved compared to the well-known DF140A model favored by the brand's customers. Tests have shown a 5 to 6% improvement in fuel consumption over the DF140A in the medium to high speed range.
The new cowling adopts a special air intake that optimizes water separation while reducing intake air temperature, allowing for higher power output at mid-range speeds. A resonator system further reduces engine noise at all speeds.
The new direct ignition reduces the number of parts and wiring, allowing for better spark generation and improved combustion efficiency.
The main difference with its "younger sibling," the DF115B, is that it develops power over a higher rpm range.
