R Marine offers you:
The new Suzuki outboard engine, the DF140B, benefits from upgrades that further improve its overall performance. The compression ratio has indeed increased to 10.6/1, allowing this outboard engine of over 2 liters to enhance its top speed and achieve better acceleration while optimizing thermal efficiency.
Energy efficiency has also been improved compared to the well-known DF140A model favored by the brand's customers. Tests have shown a 5 to 6% improvement in fuel consumption over the DF140A across a range of medium to high speeds.
The new cowling features a special air intake that optimizes water separation while reducing intake air temperature, enabling higher power output at mid-range RPM. A resonator system further reduces engine noise at all speeds.
The new direct ignition reduces the number of parts and wiring, improving spark generation and enhancing combustion efficiency.
The main difference with its "younger sibling" DF115B is that it achieves its power over a higher RPM range.
