The new Suzuki outboard motor, the DF115B, features enhancements that further improve its overall performance. The compression ratio is now 10.6/1, allowing this over 2-liter outboard motor to increase its top speed and achieve better acceleration while optimizing thermal efficiency.

Fuel efficiency has also been improved compared to the well-known DF115A model. Tests have shown a 5 to 6% reduction in fuel consumption for the DF115B across medium to high-speed ranges.

The new cowl features a special air intake that optimizes water separation while reducing the intake air temperature, enabling higher power output at intermediate speeds. A resonator system further reduces engine noise at all speeds.

The new direct ignition system reduces the number of parts and wiring, allowing for a more reliable spark and improved combustion efficiency.

The main difference from its "big brother" DF140B is that it delivers its power over a lower and broader RPM range.
