The new Suzuki outboard motor, the DF115B, benefits from updates that further improve its overall performance. The compression ratio is now 10.6/1, allowing this over 2-liter outboard motor to increase top speed and improve acceleration while optimizing thermal efficiency.

The fuel efficiency has also been enhanced compared to the well-known DF115A model. Tests have shown a 5 to 6% improvement in fuel consumption for the DF115B at mid to high speeds.

The new cowling features a special air intake that optimizes water separation and reduces intake air temperature, enabling higher power output at intermediate speeds. A resonator system further decreases engine noise at all speeds.

The new direct ignition system reduces the number of parts and wiring, resulting in a better spark generation and improved combustion efficiency.

The main difference with its "big brother" DF140B is that it delivers its power over a less high and broader speed range.
