BIRCHWOOD TS 33 from 1987 powered by 2x 200hp Volvo Penta TAMD 41P - 1100h - Shaft drive transmission
Main equipment: - Electric windlass - Autopilot - GPS, depth sounder - Flybridge - Equipped kitchen - Marine toilet
General condition: In terms of mechanics, this unit has been well maintained and looks very good. This is evident at the view of the bilge. In April 2025, the elbows, collectors, and turbos were replaced. In terms of aesthetics, some updating work should be considered, although this unit remains in very good presentation condition for its 36 years.
Exterior: The hull and superstructure show no particular remarks. The gelcoat has some slight surface crazing marks on the thinner parts, otherwise after polishing, the boat will regain a nice shiny appearance.
Interior: On this point, the boat is well maintained, the carpets are original and in good condition. Always protected. The upholstery has been well preserved. In the kitchen area, everything is in good condition even though the sink shows some degradation that should be monitored. All the wall coverings are in good condition. We do not observe any signs of peeling or infiltration.
Mechanical: The engine compartment looks very good. It is rare to see units from the late 80s with such clean and dry bilges. The engines look visually very good. No signs of leaking or significant oxidation have been observed. Both engines start at first touch and showed no anomalies during our inspection of the boat. A major mechanical intervention was carried out in April 2025, including elbows, collectors, and turbos. Antifouling is scheduled for early July.
Electronics: The boat is equipped with many devices, but most have become outdated. The autopilot and the VHF are still relevant.
