June 2021: Paramotor takes center stage on Serre-Poncon

Aqua Detente Pros supported organizers and race officials during the training camp of the French Paramotor Team.

The France Paramotor Team, reigning world champion in slalom, came to train in mid-June 2021 for a week on Lake Serre-Poncon.
Since 2019, Savines has been selected as a training site for this rapidly growing discipline, with the goal of organizing an international competition on the reservoir.
The professionals of the French Federation of ULM (FFPlum) regularly review their ranges. In 2021, it was in mid-June that the specialists arrived:

• An startup every morning around 6:30 am
• An early flight at the most favorable hours for the discipline, depending on thermal conditions
• From skill to choice, we were in the front rows

In paramotor slalom, the goal for competitors is to glide between pylons at high speed (up to 90 km/h), just a few meters above the water (maximum 12 meters, which is the height of the pylon marker), aiming to complete the course as quickly as possible using their powered paragliding wing. As a reminder, SMADESEP has designated an area reserved for ultralight aircraft at Crots, with service providers present for this flying discipline for several years, organized by the French Federation of ULM (FFPlum).

We supplied motorboats to the organizing team and supported the event organization in terms of judges and officials' vessels.
