STABILIZATION SYSTEMS

The different stabilization systems of a boat:

Flaps

Flaps, or trim tabs, make a significant difference in the handling and performance of powered hulls.
Flaps provide smoother, more responsive, and faster piloting, while increasing safety and reducing fuel consumption.

Zipwake

Zipwake is a system of vertical interceptors mounted on the transom. The Zipwake flap deflects the water flow to restore trim.
Operating on the principle of a blade, the interceptors work automatically in a vertical manner and control your speed to achieve a comfortable navigation position while limiting your fuel consumption, unlike a traditional flap which generates significant drag and automatically leads to increased fuel consumption.

Gyroscope

The gyroscope is the most effective but also the most expensive stabilization system.
A gyroscope is a sphere that spins up to 9,700 revolutions per minute generating enough force to counter roll. This system is extremely effective and improves onboard comfort in an unparalleled way.
The size of the gyroscope varies depending on the size of your boat.

Simply put, a gyroscope works on the same principle as a rapidly spinning top. If a force hits the spinning top, the gyroscopic effect will immediately return the top to its vertical axis of rotation.

The quality of the hull as well as the weight balancing of the various equipment and passengers are important factors that contribute to a boat's stability.
