Transatlantic Cap Martinique

The Cap-Martinique offshore race was created in response to the demand from many competitors. It is open to fast sailboats measuring 30 to 40 feet (approximately 10 to 12 meters).
Boats must have a TCC coefficient between 0.977 and 1.081 according to the IRC rating.

The third edition of Cap-Martinique will depart on April 19, 2026 and will take place in a single stage, with a straightforward course: starting from Trinite-sur-Mer on April 19, 2026, and arriving at Fort-de-France, after passing Porto Santo Island in the Madeira archipelago in Portugal, on the starboard side.

This race is open to solos and crews, particularly amateurs, who have the necessary experience to cross the Atlantic competitively. Their boats and themselves must meet strict qualification and safety standards. It should be noted that April weather is generally calmer and more favorable for this crossing. The course, passing near Madeira to avoid the northern storms, will be technical, sporty, and as safe as possible.

Each boat must carry the colors of a sustainable development or societal development cause, ensuring significant visibility. Of course, boats can also be sponsored by partners, related or unrelated to these causes.

The event also emphasizes friendliness, with villages open to the public at the start and finish, exceptional reception in Martinique for supporters and crews, and the race aims to be a major Sport and Adventure Festival.
