Thus, the shape of the mainsail has become more square at the head with a vertical blow to provide more power and balance to the boat. From this observation, the 40 – ST Square Top was created, offering the following advantages:
- Gaff mainsail, more efficient with increased power at the top of the sail
- The mainsail is more manageable with a shorter boom and a luff length comparable to that of the jib
- Aerodynamic performance is improved with less drag and better overall balance of the boat
- Better space optimization in the cockpit, more suitable for installing a bimini
