History of the Franck Roy boatyard
The Franck Roy boatyard was founded in 1998 by Franck Roy, a passionate of boats and vintage cars. Initially trained as a shipwright, Franck Roy worked for over ten years at Sysba Marine and Latitude 46 before creating his own boatyard. The yard quickly became recognized for its neo-classical sailboats, combining traditional aesthetics with modern technology. In 2019, the yard was acquired by Romuald Tuffery, a young Vendée entrepreneur, who aimed to modernize processes while preserving the know-how and DNA of the yard. Despite challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the yard continues producing high-quality boats appreciated for their design and performance.
