XBOAT ref:1661.
Ketch Gallian 13, designed by Herbulot at the Carenes shipyard.
This boat underwent a complete refit in 2020 for a round-the-world trip that unfortunately could not be completed by the current owner.
Both engines have been replaced with 2 new VOLVO PENTA D2 50 HP engines, the shipyard did an enormous job replacing all the motorization, the shafts, the steering system, the tanks, the rudder bearings, the hydraulic system, and much more.
The electricity and electronics have also been completely renewed. Complete invoice file available. More than €90,000 appraisal report upon request.
1977 Gallian ketch 13 designed by architect Jean-Jacques Herbulot.
A transom has been added, bringing the boat's length to 14.90 meters.
The hull is made of epoxy plywood, as is the transom, which is fully integrated into the hull since it is supported by the frames and stringers.
It is equipped for ocean cruising with 4 solar panels of 50 watts each and a 400-watt Air Breeze wind turbine: the system powers 600 amp-hours of service batteries. The boat is self-sufficient in electricity. All lighting consists of LED bulbs.
1 side cabin with a large berth for 2 people and a wardrobe, located in the center of the boat.
1 forward double cabin.
2 stacked berths in the starboard corridor, with the upper one convertible into a double berth.
1 bathroom (sink, shower, and toilet with black water tank) accessible from the forward cabin and the owner's cabin.
1 offset saloon on the port side that comfortably seats 8 guests.
1 long galley equipped with a 2-burner stove with oven, two large refrigerators, a sink with drainer, and countertop.
1 spacious steering station protected by a rigid canopy extended by a cover on a stainless steel tube frame.
A large table with benches underneath which there are spacious lockers. The whole area forms a real living space, at sea as well as at anchor, facilitated by easy circulation and almost at floor level (2 steps between the steering station and the interior).
1 large transom and swim ladder facilitating swimming and boarding at anchor.
It is equipped with davits: ketch with a staysail on a furler, a mainsail with three reef points and a rigid downhaul, a genoa on a furler, and a removable stay. The wardrobe includes a reefable jib, a staysail, a storm sail, rigging for 2 symmetrical spinnakers (one light and one heavy) and an asymmetrical spinnaker with its sock.
1 Delta anchor weighing 30 kg with 60 meters of chain + a plow anchor. More information and photos on the website xboat.fr
