The Ostrea 700 is emblematic of Ocqueteau's historic expertise in fishing boats. It is designed for seasoned fishermen who want to practice their activity year-round with good comfort and safety conditions.
The 265 HP inboard diesel engine is placed at the center of the cockpit. With a lower center of gravity than an outboard, the boat is more stable and allows for a higher cruising speed as soon as the sea is rough. The shaft line transmission limits maintenance and, combined with the diesel engine and the quality of the infused hull, enables fuel savings with controlled consumption.
Steering from the rear of the cockpit with a tiller and dual control(2), the livewell(2) with water regeneration, and rod storage in the cockpit and cabin are all features appreciated by fishermen.
The optional rear door unifies the space between the wheelhouse and the cockpit with three sliding doors. The large closed storage space below the helm converts into an additional berth with a chemical toilet (marine toilet optional).
Facilitating movement on board, the Ostrea 700's walk-around deck integrates two wide side decks port and starboard and protective railings. The rear and side benches fold to maximize space in fishing mode and provide a convivial area at anchor.
French shipyard created in 1948 on the island of Oléron builds boats mainly focused on fishing with a method called infusion which provides excellent stiffness and reduced weight resulting in very good performance with lower fuel consumption.
