Built in 1996 for its first owners, the Outremer 38/40 is well designed for all fast cruising, racing, or offshore navigation programs. The Outremer 38/40 was Gérard Danson's first model, built at the Outremer shipyard. This version has already been built with the large roof of the Outremer 45, which offers more space and standing height in the saloon. A rare opportunity on the market, this 38 features an original hull design strictly designed without any extended aft platform. In fact, still an 11.99 m boat! This Outremer is equipped with a hydraulic wheel (disconnectable) + two straight bars. It benefited from a full upgrade at the Outremer yard, including a new mast.
The current owner has upgraded the boat's equipment with the goal of crossing the Atlantic. He has sailed across the entire Caribbean to the Bahamas and was deeply impressed by the excellent sailing qualities of this fast and reliable Outremer. A significant amount has been invested to restore it to its best sailing condition. A beautiful owner’s boat with numerous improvements made year after year, ready to set off on its next adventure, fully equipped and ready to cross the oceans.
