Following the great success of the Solaris 47, 48, and 50, it was necessary to consider possible improvements. Solaris Yachts and Javier Soto Acebal concluded that the beam needed to be increased and moved aft to equip the new 50' with two rudders. Tacking in a breeze thus becomes child's play.

This new aft volume is also utilized to create a watertight dinghy garage that can be accessed longitudinally, which is rare on a vessel of this size.

The steering position has also been optimized: being moved back and spaced out, the helmsman has a better field of vision, despite the clutter of the optional hardtop.

It was important to pamper sophisticated helmsmen on a racer with such an excellent weight-to-power ratio! Especially since with a Weldox keel and a carbon mast, impressive performance is achievable...

The infusion vacuum sandwich construction, the structural composite bulkheads laminated in one piece with the hull and deck, and the highly rigorous method of keel attachment all contribute once again to the rigidity, durability, and impeccable strength that underpin Solaris Yachts' unshakeable reputation.

Special attention is given to interior finishing details, especially in the saloon and owner's cabin, which comes in two versions. At the aft, a variant can be offered to suit various family configurations.
