WAUQUIEZ CENTURION 47 (1990) – 3 cabins – Ed Dubois – Agadir, Morocco

A classic of offshore cruising, fully refurbished this summer and ready to sail.

Produced in only 48 units between 1984 and 1990, the Centurion 47 is one of Wauquiez's most successful designs. Designed by Ed Dubois, it combines true performance potential with high-quality construction and timeless aesthetics. It has also entered into cinematic legend, alongside Jean-Paul Belmondo in "Itinéraire d'un enfant gâté" by Claude Lelouch.

On board, three separate cabins, two heads, and generous wooden volumes offer remarkable comfort for family or friends offshore cruising. It is a powerful and seaworthy vessel that requires a crew passionate about sailing.

A BOAT THAT HAS JUST BEEN COMPLETELY REFURBISHED

The current owner has undertaken a comprehensive overhaul in July and August 2026, with preparation and inspections carried out in part with a highly experienced sailor. This level of refurbishment is rarely seen on Centurion 47s on the market.

Sails and rigging:
– New 127% genoa and three-reef mainsail (2026, approx. €10,000)
– Complete rig and reef lines inspection, backstay replaced
– Foc under stay with furler, 17 m² jib on dedicated track
– Classic spinnaker with sock and asymmetrical spinnaker
– Complete inventory of reef lines, sheets, halyard blocks, and pulleys

Engine and power:
– Full engine overhaul: seawater cooling system cleaned and components replaced, water-glycol pump replaced
– Timing belt replaced, with spare belt, pulley, and tensioner onboard
– 6 new batteries (2 for engine, 4 for service)
– Powerful wind turbine and shore charger

Hull and safety:
– Antifouling and polishing with International products (2026)
– Seacock replaced
– Major through-hulls and valves replaced
– New Plastimo life raft
– Well-maintained harness lines in good condition

Equipment:
– Powerful Autohelm autopilot
– Electric windlass, VHF, NKE depth sounder
– Large hatch cover in good condition
– New 50 m mooring line and several other lines in good shape
– Dinghy with Johnson 2-stroke outboard motor in good working order
– Optional: brand-new Hypalon 3D Tender dinghy, never unpacked, rigid floor

Diesel tank:
The tank has been drained for treatment. Four inspection hatches have been fabricated for the four compartments and are awaiting installation.

A prepared, reliable Centurion 47 ready for future crossings, with a recent documented maintenance history that adds significant value compared to similar units on the market.
