Designed by Gilbert Caroff, this CHATAM 60, a cruising cutter, is a full aluminum centerboarder (1.10 m / 3.20 m), built as a one-off.

"Sturdy, with its 16-millimeter aluminum hull, twin diesel engines, 3 heating systems, everything is designed for sailing to distant destinations.
The boat underwent a refit in 2017/18.
Thanks to its fully enclosed and insulated wheelhouse (sliding watertight door), the helm station is perfectly protected. With its two rudders and pivoting centerboard, the CHATAM 60 sits flat and allows anchorages offshore with its shallow draft. This CHATAM 60 is second-hand, fully equipped, and has been little used.

Halyard and reefing maneuvers are performed at the mast base, safely.
