BIRCHWOOD TS 33 from 1987 powered by 2x 200hp Volvo Penta TAMD 41A - 1100h - Shaft drive transmission
Main equipment; - Electric windlass - Autopilot - GPS, depth sounder - Flybridge - Equipped kitchen - Marine toilet
General condition: Mechanically, this unit has been well maintained and presents very well. This is evident from the engine room bilges. In April 2025, the elbows, manifolds, and turbos were replaced. From an aesthetic point of view, some updating work will be needed, although this unit remains in very good presentational condition for its 36 years.
Exterior: The entire hull and superstructure show no particular issues. The gelcoat has some slight surface crazing on the thinner areas, otherwise after polishing/waxing the boat will regain a nice shiny appearance.
Interior: In this area, the boat is well maintained, the carpets are original and in good condition, still protected. The upholstery has been well preserved. In the kitchen area everything is in good condition even if some deterioration of the sink needs monitoring. All linings are in good condition. No signs of detachment or infiltration traces were observed.
Mechanical: The engine compartment looks very good. It is rare to see units from the late 1980s with such clean and dry bilges. The engines visually present very well. No signs of leaks or significant oxidation were noted. Both engines start at the first attempt and showed no anomalies during our inspection of the boat. A major mechanical overhaul was carried out in April 2025 including elbows, manifolds and turbos. The antifouling is scheduled for early July.
Electronics: The boat has many pieces of equipment but most have become obsolete. The autopilot and VHF are still operational.
