Dufour 44 from 2006:
With a Volvo Penta D2 55 HP only 750 engine hours,
This is a "Cruising Racer" sailboat that can be handled solo, it is a very good performer on the wind and downwind (apart from X Yachts and J, there aren’t many that go faster), it is highly maneuverable, with a very fine steering touch.
The keel is made of lead unlike traditional cruising sailboats, and the through-deck mast fixed on the keel, which makes it very stiff under sail and very reactive.
It is a very seaworthy boat, very safe in heavy weather,
It is equipped with the necessary reinforcements and attachments for a removable stay.
The rigging was renewed in June 2021, two years ago:
- The genoa furler replaced with a new one: FACNOR LS200, identical to the original.
- The stay and 2 shrouds replaced.
- The LAZY BAG and the "Cristal" of the dodger 2023 brand new!
- The dodger and the Bimini were replaced in October 2017.
- The lazy sheet was replaced in May 2016.
- The Sail Drive seal has not been replaced; it has been checked by the shipyard, which concluded that it did not need changing.
- The engine maintenance has been performed by a professional mechanic (oil changes / oil filter / replacement of the impeller),
- The boat is equipped with a J PROP folding 3-blade propeller.
- The genoa is not very old, replaced about 4 years ago, it's a genoa from DELTA VOILES, the mainsail is a very strong sail with 2 reefs from ETTORE YACHTING, it would deserve a wash, but it is in good condition and very performant.
- Only one owner of the boat, bought new and delivered on May 17, 2007.
Viewing and history available upon request from Monday to Sunday.
