Surf 45 – 45 ft – Guy Ribadeau Dumas – never launched – conversion project
A 45 ft monohull sailboat designed by architect Guy Ribadeau Dumas, built by an amateur at a very high level in 2005, never launched or used since construction.
The Surf 45 belongs to the lightweight displacement category (approximately 4.5 tons), with a narrow and high-performance hull, aiming to offer high performance and true sailing pleasure, while maintaining the economic and structural advantages of a monohull.
This model has been the subject of a detailed publication in Voiles et Voiliers magazine, describing the concept, naval architecture, and various rigging options.
