Digadao was fully restored in 2015-16
The hull was in excellent condition and required no major work
The deck and cabin roof are original and were restored
The spruce mast is original and was restored, as well as the boom and the spinnaker pole
Description of work carried out
Ballast
Stripped, sanded, left to dry for 1 year, 4 coats of Mistak Fondo (Boero), antifouling
Hull
Underwater hull: stripped, lightly sanded, joints cleaned out, caulking, flexible Gyso 555 joints, 4 coats of Mistral Fondo, antifouling.
Above waterline: stripped, joints cleaned out, caulking, 2k joints, 4 coats of primer, 3 coats of Epifane lacquer, restoration of the stem, new stainless steel fittings.
Deck
Stripped, restoration of damaged areas, epoxy West System fillet joints along the coaming and cabin, routed deck edge and glued mahogany epoxy on the deck edge overlapping the planking, same for the cabin.
The deck and cabin roof were epoxy treated then finished with 2 coats of 2k paint and non-slip.
The rubrails are new, glued, screwed, and dowelled, made of mahogany.
The handrails are new, mahogany, screwed into M5 inserts fixed in the timbers.
The locker under the mast foot, the partner, is new.
The 2 hatches are new.
The portholes are new.
The pulpit is original.
Winch bases are new, as well as the winch stand.
All the wooden varnished parts of the boat received 2 coats of Lazotic stain impregnation and 5 coats of Lenk varnish.
Rigging
The mast was stripped, restored, 2 coats of Lazotic and 5 of Lenk varnish
The original boom was modified to accommodate a loose-footed mainsail, 2 reef points, foot shaping, finishing the same way
The spinnaker pole was restored, finished accordingly
The shrouds, runners, forestay, and checkstays are original, with new whipping on the splices.
