The Solaris 60 was launched in 2020. This model will mark the way boats are built and designed and will influence nautical design for the next ten years!
The Solaris 60 was born to be a Mini-Maxi, meaning a high-performance sailboat, with an overall length of 18.31 meters. This allows it to participate in offshore regattas in the Mini-Maxi class, notably the main event in Porto Cervo.
The main innovation is found in the cockpit, where the wheels are positioned at full width. This allows you to steer the boat without the intrusion of the dodger, and even to see the headsail halyard.
The depth of the side decks allows for lowering the lifelines towards the rear and raising them near the two steps. This solution is generally not used on boats that are very large, over 140 feet. Furthermore, the width of the wheels, even in the harbor and during maneuvers, allows the helmsman a clear view.
At the back, adjustable seats are available, which allow for steering even while seated.
Inside, a classic Solaris layout: a kitchen slightly hidden by two steps at the front and for the first time two aft cabins with twin or double beds and a large porthole facing into the cockpit. The owner's cabin, at the front, is very spacious, with plenty of storage and the option to choose between a side or central bed.
Also noteworthy is the crew cabin at the front, with a separate bathroom.
The garage for the tender with longitudinal access hardly encroaches on the aft cabins.
