Wauquiez Hood 38

I am selling my sailboat brand WAUQUIEZ HOOD 38 from 1984, it is the second MK2 version.
It has a sloop rig, built with thick polyester resin, making it a very solid boat!
I am the 3rd owner, I am selling it with regret due to health reasons. I have enjoyed sailing for 14 years in Breton waters, Gascogne with annual trips to Spain, Scotland, Ireland, Quiberon...
It is very comfortable with 2 cabins, a large living space in the salon, which can be converted into a double berth, it has forced air heating, pressurized hot water, 2 toilets, one with a black water tank (never used), a fully equipped kitchen with worktop, double sink, gas stove with oven, microwave, stereo with speakers inside and outside.

It is a robust and very comfortable boat. Produced between 1978 and 1989, 179 units were made.

It is indeed not so easy to combine qualities that are often contradictory like comfort, performance, and aesthetics.

The Hood 38 is beautiful. Ted Hood, its architect, managed to give it elegance and a noble appearance. A part of the pleasure of owning a boat is simply looking at it.

The Hood 38 is comfortable. Its interior volume is perhaps the largest of its kind, and the abundant use of teak gives the fittings a refined luxury. It offers great comfort for happy cruises, from cove to cove, thanks to its lifting keel.

The Hood 38 is fast. Ted Hood, like us, loves boats that perform! Thanks to his extensive experience, the Hood 38 provides great pleasure at the helm. Comfortably seated behind the steering wheel, with eleven meters sixty of deck ahead, you can sail close-hauled at less than 30° apparent wind. On reaching points, with the keel up, you achieve impressive averages.
