Designed by Sam Manuard, the planing hull of the First 14 seeks the best compromise between stability and speed. The double keel trunk allows sailing solo without the jib (retracted keel and Cat rig) or with two people (moved keel and three-sail set). With its sail area ranging from 8.5 to 21.5 m2, the First 14 offers multiple possibilities and adapts to all levels of practice. Designed for a wide variety of crew sizes and weights, the cockpit features multiple seating heights: on the longer edges, comfort is guaranteed. With its removable roller set, the First 14 emphasizes its goal even in small details: to simplify sailing to the extreme.
