Designed by Sam Manuard, the planing hull of the First 14 aims to strike the best balance between stability and speed. The twin rudder well allows sailing solo without the jib (retracted rudder and Cat rig) or with two (advanced rudder and three sails set). With a sail area ranging from 8.5 to 21.5 m2, the First 14 offers multiple possibilities and adapts to all levels of expertise. Crafted to accommodate a wide range of crew sizes and weights, the cockpit features different seating heights: on the longer sides, comfort is guaranteed. Equipped with removable roller sets, the First 14 emphasizes its goal—even in small details: to simplify sailing to the extreme.
