Designed by Sam Manuard, the planing hull of the First 14 seeks the best compromise between stability and speed. The double centerboard trunk allows solo sailing without the jib (centerboard retracted and cat rig) or with two crew members (centerboard lowered and set of three sails). With a sail area ranging from 8.5 to 21.5 m², the First 14 multiplies possibilities and adapts to all skill levels. Designed to accommodate a wide range of crew sizes and weights, the cockpit offers multiple seating heights: on longer tacks, comfort is ensured. With its set of removable wheels, the First 14 emphasizes, down to small details, its goal: to simplify sailing to the extreme.
