Balance and performance.
Designed by architect J.M. Finot, the First 28 perfectly follows the lineage of the Firsts: fast and safe boats.
The pinched entries and generous shapes at the stern of the First 28 reflect the architect's choices favoring a boat with moderate displacement and exceptionally high performance.
The hull with significant shape stability allowed for a ballast ratio of 40%, giving the boat great rigidity to the sails from the first angles of heel. Smooth at the helm, balanced both when sailing upwind and reaching, the First 28 is a delicate and dynamic boat.
