Balance and performance. Conceived by architect J.M. Finot, the First 28 perfectly fits within the First line: fast and safe boats. The tapered entries and generous shapes at the stern of the First 28 showcase the architect's choice in favor of a boat with moderate displacement and exceptionally high performance. The hull, with significant shape stability, has allowed a ballast ratio of 40%, giving the boat high rigidity under sail from the first angles of heeling. Gentle at the helm, well-balanced when sailing upwind and on a reach, the First 28 is a delicate and dynamic boat.
